Wedding Ceremonies in the presence of family and friends

This is a service which can be for a marriage blessing or renewal of vows ceremony, in the presence of Family and Friends and is, or can be provided in conjunction with the use of hotel or restaurant facilities and services on Sal Island.

New Service Partners

As of May 2023, the organisation and planning arrangements for the 'Family and Friends' services will be provided by our new service partner. They have worked with us on recent events and have held their own events at hotels and other venues in Santa Maria.

These 'Family and Friends' ceremonies are 'bespoke ceremonies', which will be based on what your requirements are and of course, your budget. Our new service partners will be able to provide suggestions for ceremony locations on Sal Island such as 'The Hilton Sal', 'Murdeira Bay', 'Área Docas' in Pedra de Lume, 'Viveiro Botanical Garden - Pachamama Eco Park'.They will also provide you with images of previous ceremonies they have organised.

Ceremony Service

All the services are either delivered by a 'Layperson' or, a 'Pastor from the Evangelical Church' (Nazarene). A 'Layperson' will perform a symbolic reading of your choice. A Pastor of the Nazarene/Evangelical Church will deliver a religious reading in the Portuguese language. A translator may be required for the reading in some circumstances. Neither of these ceremonies are legal marriage ceremonies.
