Cape Verde provides the ideal conditions for deep sea fishing. Blue marlin and tuna (big game) can be caught during several months of the year off Sal Island. Our skipper in Santa Maria on Sal Island will take you to the best fishing spots to spend unforgettable fishing days. The fishing trips for trolling, vertical jigging and deep fishing will last 4 hours either in the morning or afternoon depending on availability and conditions. The fishing trip for "Big Game - Blue Marlin " is a full day.

We depart from the wooden pier in Santa Maria (pontao). You can start fishing off Sal island 15/20 minutes after departure from the pier. For the Full Day, departure is from 08:30 am to 16:00 hours, the lunch is inclusive on board with sandwich and non-alcoholic drinks. During July and August times the drifting trips start at 6a.m. and finish at 12noon. However, we may need to make slight changes to the times so please make sure you provide us with your contact details both before you depart for Sal and as soon as you arrive on Sal (if you are using a different contact cell number), your hotel and room number may also be useful. Please note: We also have conditions for cancellations and, we always recommend you do not to go the first full day after your arrival, especially for someone with a night flight!

Equipment and bait is included in the price.

The fishing programme we agree before you arrive on Sal Island may need to be altered if weather conditions and forecast changes. It will be our responsibility to inform you of any changes and update you and look at other possibilities as to which days will be best for the technique you choose. FISHING BOAT - 'Albatroz'

Brand: Teaser 31”, 2x BMW 180 Diesel Engines, Size 10m x 3.20m. The fishing boat is fitted with safety equipment, GPS, depth sounder, VHF radio, 1 room, WC, fighting chair, outriggers, gaffs, flying gaffs, rod holders, 20/30 lbs stand up rods, 50/80lbs trolling rods. Gear used: mainly Shimano.
