VISA - What is a multi-entry visa?

A multi-entry visa is used by foreign nationals to enter and depart Cape Verde within a specific time period. The time period for departure is 90 days. Some foreign nationals stay in Cape Verde and depart the country on the 89th day. They can return to Cape Verde and repeat the process if they so wish, but please not that the multi-entry visa is for a  12month period.

Foreign nationals do not have to stay in Cape Verde for 89 days. Some foreign nationals may visit Cape Verde for a few months, then leave for the summer and return in September, using the multi-entry visa.

Please note:

• 1. The 30 day tourist entry visa for European passport holders, UK nationals and some other nationals has been waived as of 1st January 2019.
• 2. As of January 1st 2019 a new TSA Airport Security Tax was introduced for visitors into Cape Verde. Some people will be exempt from paying the 31e TSA tax on entry. More info available in this pdf:
